Top 5 Green Magic 2013 Cards Review

1. Thragtusk

This green creature from Magic 2013 will make a huge impact on Standard. It provides a beastly effect in the 'Magic 2013 Core Set'. The fact that Thragtusk triggers whenever leaving the battlefield – not just dying, but provides a real beastly "enters the battlefield" and "leaves the battlefield" effect. The life gain is just gravy! This is just an amazing creature card all around.

2. Yeva, Nature’s Herald

Yeva, Nature’s Herald is part of the Magic 2013 legendary creature cycle that is poised to create some truly insane situations in a variety of formats. She’s commands, she’s got flash and she gives all your creatures flash too! She’s even a 4/4 for 4 mana! There are plenty of ways to get creative and build around this legendary elf.

3. Elderscale Wurm

Elderscale Wurm is a curious creature, who's only effective when your life total is seven or more. A 7/7 trampler for seven is a fine deal, as long as he’s on the board, you can never take damage that will bring you below 7 life. When he enters the battlefield, if your life total is less than 7, Elderscale Wurm restores you back to 7 life.

Trample When Elderscale Wurm enters the battlefield, if your life total is less than 7, your life total becomes 7. As long as you have 7 or more life, damage that would reduce your life total to less than 7 reduces it to 7 instead.
4. Mwonvuli Beast Tracker

Mwonvuli Beast Tracker might be an interesting choice in a green black "rock" style deck because it allows you to have perfect draws or find the right answer. There are a lot of powerful creatures that Mwonvuli Beast Tracker can put on top of your deck. For example, Damnia, Sage of Stone, Grave Titan, Harvester of Souls and more creatures with deathtouch, hexproof, reach, and trample that Mwonvuli Beast Tracker can find. While not a crazy, groundbreaking card, Beast Tracker is a perfect utility card.

5. Primal Huntbeast

Its a 3/3 with Hexproof and he isn't dying to removal. An excellent recipient of equipment and auras. As the creature color, Green is the most deserving of hard-to-kill creatures.

Here is my magic the gathering M13 review for the top 5 color green. Except for these top 5 Green cards, there are still many other strong green cards can be seen at this core set. Serpent's Gift is similarly terrible. Necrobite doesn't really see any play outside of Limited, and it is infinitely more playable than Serpent's Gift. Quirion Dryad is great fun but nothing tops Rancor! Finally, reprints are where green really shines in Magic 2013.
